Grandiflora Textiles was born in 2012 when Laura Schneider graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a degree in Fibers. Grandiflora's products are dyed, printed or woven one piece at a time by hand and are created on either Laura's vintage floor loom, trustworthy sewing machine or hand built print table.

A collector of found curiosities and scientific objects, Laura finds inspiration in the beauty of the natural world and in items discovered at thrift stores and even on the curb. Analyzing their colors, textures and vibes is what is translated later into unique, one of a kind pattern and textile designs. From disassembling and re-collaging a cassette tape into a patterned scarf, or making constellation pillowcases that glow in the dark, all of these products reflect delicate surprises that one has to take a closer look to see.
